Wow. Much more restraint than the wine of old. This is fabulous. Tightly coiled dark fruit, subtle oak spice, and utterly delicious. Yum.

Loads of powerful flavours and savoury tannin. And fairly equal parts savoury spice and ripe fruit. Drier than I usually like Shiraz but perhaps thing are changing? Really enjoyed it.

Even at 11 years it's still unmistakeable as warm vintage Heathcote - blueberries, liquorice and chocolate. Probably some American oak too.
