#KosherWineSunday
Pretty ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Strong nose with red and black fruits, tobacco, oak, vegetables and dark coffee.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with red cherries, light oak, green pepper, tobacco leaf, earth, dark coffee and spices.
Short finish with soft tannins and cranberries.
This 2 year old Single Vineyard Cabernet Franc from Israel is easy drinking and a good food wine.
A little too tangy to have all by itself right now. Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years and see how it evolves.
100% Cabernet Franc grapes were aged in French oak barrels for 20 months. kosher and not Mevushal.
14% alcohol by volume.
88 points.
$45.

This is a very nice Cabernet Franc from Israel.
Dark ruby/ purple in color with a purple rim.
Very nice on the nose with blackberries, figs, vanilla, blueberries, oak, licorice, cherry marmalade, wildflowers and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry and spicy on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, cherries, strawberries, oak, vanilla, dark chocolate and black pepper.
Long finish with big, round tannins and black pepper.
This is a gorgeous, elegant and complex wine.
The grapes are from a cooler climate area at an altitude of 2700 feet. Matured for 21 months in French oak barrels.
I enjoyed it first by itself, and then with beef stew and roasted potatoes.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
