I know that Prà is better known for their whites, but this 12 year old red is drinking really well. Light and restrained, but with a lot of mineral character, tobacco, and blackberry. Reminds me of Beaujolais.

Opened 2010 for 2hours. Cinnamon toast with apricot jam. Mineral and lavender nose. Lovely with pizza.

In Tivat Montenegro on the dock. Drier than average Amarone—less jam. Little extra mineral.

Jun 25th, 2019Nose: subtle yet quite complex wine: less sweet and more smoky than mostamarone, hint of caramelised wood, dark chocholate, black fruit, liquorice, minerality.
Palate:sour cherries, hints of eucalyptus, gooseberry, slightly herbal. Loads of body and alcohol (massive 16.5%), but still good in tannins
to support the flavours; warm and good length. Overall quite complex and richness.
