Light nose of blackberries, plums, oak, vanilla, licorice, herbs, metals, barnyard and black pepper.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cloves, licorice, toasted oak, smoke and spices.
Short finish with soft tannins.
A very simple red table wine, but not offensive at all. Just drinkable.
Better with some air time, but okay right out of the bottle.
I paired it with beef brisket and mashed potatoes.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
