Granville Island Brewing
Lions Winter Ale
Since we're still having snow today I thought I'd break open a winter ale.
It is a lovely Amber hue with an off-white head.
The aroma is sweet, light chocolate, vanilla and toffee.
The flavour is similar to the nose with a predominant cocoa taste. It is lightly carbonated and thin-bodied mouthfeel.
This was worth trying. Always good to try something new. πΊπ¨π¦

A nice beer with hint of vanilla an chocolate. Definitely a strong caramel and nutty flavor.

Aug 5th, 2016Have purchased an horrible "Winter seasonal ale". Should have read the fine print on the *added* flavours beforehand. Terrible toxic vanilla flavour and a very average underlying beer.

Apr 6th, 2015Very delicious, toasted caramel and rich porter-like flavour. Hard to place what else I'm tasting but this robust ale is unique and a seasonal treat.
