Perhaps more kirsch and tannin than its Classico version, with a bit of a darker, more brooding nose. Some hints of clove. Missing some of those lovely herbal notes that lift it, however. At least comparing these two vintages, I prefer the Classico.

Jan 7th, 2016Probably would have been better a couple of years ago. Dried cherry and cranberry, stale tobacco, dried herbs, relatively firm tannins for the style.

Oct 8th, 2015July 6, 2015. Post Mt Blanc trip. Had high hopes for this one as I have had a couple good Valpolicello Ripassos lately. This one did not impress. Perhaps a bad bottle?
