Giovanni Almondo
Fosso della Rosa Brachetto
Initially seemed a curbside pickup fail. Supposed to have been Lambrusco but charge it to the game. Always fun to try something new and weird and this is both, for me anyway.
5% ABV made me brace for sweetness but it’s tart, light, and with a lot more minerality than you’ll find in virtually any other red out there. A hint of effervescence that reminds of Vinho Verde (not as luscious as the aforementioned Lambrusco). An ideal summer wine. My sister-in-law thought it tasted like cough syrup, though 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏾♂️
