See previous notes here in 2018 and 2019. An excellent Chardonnay but probably prefer the Applejack and Sexton Vineyards for Chardonnay.

Could not see that I have rated this vintage on Delectable before. No formal notes. I recall it being fuller and more textural than usual with a certain creaminess. A good blend of citrus and stone fruit with the right amount of French oak.

Touch of pineapple juice on the nose with citrussy notes. The palate is sweet and fulfilling and ticks all the boxes for an excellent Yarra Valley Chardonnay. Overall quite delicious, medium weight and never heavy considering the M+ flavour intensity.

Aromas of struck match and smoke (or is it from the bushfires in the hinterland of the Gold Coast at the moment)? On the palate citrussy lime and lemon with a fuller texture of medium intensity. Personally I prefer the Applejack vineyard of the individual vineyards at Giant Steps for Chardonnay . Tarraford vineyard good for Syrah.

Some citrus and peach aromas with a note of nougat. Pale in colour belies the intensity on the palate of this marvellous Chardonnay. Lovely balance and length. Great QPR even at $50 - tastes like a $100 Chardonnay. Delicious with a good future.

From the difficult 2011 vintage where it was prudent to avoid the Pinots but this Chardonnay was very good. Could have been a Premier Cru Chablis (without the oyster shell). Carefully balanced stone fruit, citrus and mineral with oak in the background. Edit: 6 hours later tried this wine in our brand new Zalto Burgundy glass which is simply amazing. Notes of struck match became apparent.

Exquisite oak. Perfect way to end a day.

From the difficult 2011 vintage - worse for reds rather than whites in the Yarra Valley. This was fuller bodied than expected and quite delicious. Redolent of carefully balanced stone fruit and oak. From The recently awarded Australian Winemaker of the Year from Gourmet Traveller - Steve Flamsteed. An old Toowoomba boy! Well done Steve.
