My last bottle of this, and the best so far. Nose has bright red berry and blackberry, with a nice loamy earthiness, and spiced sandalwood. Large-framed in the mouth, with lean, large cherry pie flavors, augmented with bright acidity. Dry and savory on the finish.

Terrific Zin. Nose has deep, ripe blackberry fruit, a hint of maple syrup, baking spice, and warm gravel. Mouthfilling and full bodied, but with excellent acidity. Long finish.

Large and bright flavors of berries, Varian cherry pies, baking spices, with good acidity. Virging almost towards jam but sticking nicely in the baked pie category it stays taught and sweet.

Served from Coravin, this wine pours a dark maroon, almost more on the purple side. The nose is cherry blossom, mineral crispness, black cherry. The wine enters with perfectly ripe blue and purple fruits. Thankfully not a jammy wine. Not much acidity immediately, but started to build in the middle where more of a black cherry started to dominate. The finish has quite a bit more acidity, tannin definitely there as well but is notably soft and round. Black cherry finish. One of the better Zins I've had recently, but showing some youth that needs a little more time to integrate. Rather consistent with the 2013. Drinking well now, better in 2021.

This is my first Zinfandel from this producer, typically associated with Pinot noir and Chardonnay. Aromas of dark red fruit, leather and sage. Not your typical zin. Soft like a Pinot, but with the flavors of a zin. Nice acidity, but not my style.
