Garnier et Fils
Mont de Milieu Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay
If you're a poor person like me, one of the drawbacks to something like garagiste is that they only deliver full cases. Thus, this wine, ordered over three years ago (and likely much better back then) just made it to my doorstep a few weeks back. Unfamiliar with producer so dunno if it's that or vintage or past its prime but seemed a little flat. Ripe, golden pomaceous fruit, nougat, oyster shell finish but really lacking the acidity I was craving. Not bad, just not great. I wish I drank more Chablis for reference

Apr 5th, 2017Bright sunshine. Lisa wants to drink this on the porch of our plantation overlooking the Spanish moss covered elms. Lemon, orange peel, stones. Living and vibrant. Great acid/fruit balance. Med+ length. ~chalky texture. Delicious now but good to age.
