This time there is very little pleasure. It feels very dull... The nose is fine with garrigue, olive some strawberry and blackberry but the palate is a bit boring by being on the acid side and lacking matter and structure. Some fruit yes, some grip too but that's there is to talk about. Quick fruity finish. Well last time was much more interesting.

Easy going châteauneuf du pape bought in a supermarket here in Poland for around 12€. I had no hopes nor expectations and I am actually positively surprised. Not the wine of the century but quick simple and enjoyable. Nose with garrigue, olive, and black fruits. There is a vegetal thing too and some heat. The overall makes for a calm, discreet nose. The palate is very playful with a bright fruit, some tannins but an overall roundness that makes this wine almost semi dry in touch. Very easy going. The finish is a bit drying but is dominated by the red and black fruits. A bit of sweet finish that lasts for long. This is actually well crafted and an impressive value.
