Drank side by side with the 2018 KBS. This is not as hot. Balanced coffee, chocolate, and just a hint of maple. Not a hint of sweetness. The bourbon barrel comes through ever so slightly. Really an amazing beer.

Very tasty beer, not as boozy tasting as KBS, not as sweet as you might expect for the maple syrup. Mmmm. Perfect for a cool spring night.

Apr 1st, 20202019 edition. A little thin compared to prior years. Might be due to the relatively weak/disappointing 2019 KBS base. Nevertheless, the bourbon and maple syrup are both present and water nice. The alcohol is well balanced, it doesn't feel hot at all like other imperial stouts.
