Lot 96 Sonoma County Petite Sirah

I found another gem at a great price range! Don't pass this one up. Foppiano has done a wonderful job with this Petite Sirah.

Flavorful and medium bodied. Great with many foods - had at dinner with escargot, pasta & steak

Nice wine but a little hot and too fruity for me.

Dark inky in color with a purplish rim.

Intense Californian nose of vanilla, oak blackberries, figs, cooked raisins, blueberries, dried plums, dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and peppercorn.

Dry on the palate, and fruit forward, with blackberries, American oak, blueberries, sweet plums, peppercorn, cloves, vanilla, coffee, caramel and spices.

Full bodied with long thick legs and medium+ acidity which will take it to the next level in a few years.

Long finish with slightly bitter tannins and peppercorn.

Still young, but drinking well now. Will be Great in 3 to 5 years.

Loved it by itself( but Didn't like the screw top.)

13.9% alcohol by volume.

A pleasant sipper. Big juicy black fruit. Can't go wrong with a petite sirah from Cali me thinks.

Pretty tasty

2013. Dark inky color with deep juicy rich berries up front with a dryness of the tannins at the end.

Blueberry and dark cherry flavors.
