These wines are becoming more elegant and increasingly consistent in character. Superb QPR on this one.

2021. Haven’t had a Foppiano in a long time (my wife and I enjoyed visiting the winery on our honeymoon 3+ decades ago!), so I picked up a bottle to have with grilled flatiron steaks tonight. Definitely needed at least the two hours I opened before serving, and more time would’ve better. Dark fruits and the acidity and tannins paired well. Best drink was the last…

Mar 9th, 2025Not always a Petite Sirah choice but this was great. Like the pepper on the back end mixed with the bouquet of dark berries on the nose. Medium tannins and just something that brings a satisfied smile to the face.

Apr 23rd, 2021What a great surprise. Knocking around in a storage, a lone bottle of this shone today. Dark, rich and opaque deep color, outstanding aroma that made me literally stop from taking that first sip, had to enjoy it a bit more. Deep dark fruit, hints of chocolate and some vanilla too. A slight hint of cedar and eucalyptus Very smooth and viscous in the mouth. Paired very well with a lunch of grilled steak and sides.
