Dark ruby in color with a wide light purple rim.

Nice fruity nose of plums, cherries, barnyard, strawberries, flowers, earth, pencil shavings, wood, vanilla, licorice, spices, sage, dark chocolates, forest floor, green peppers, asparagus, herbes, and black pepper.

Medium plus in body and elegant with medium plus acidity and long, long legs.

Tart on the attack and dry on the palate, with raspberries, pomegranates, plums, sour cherries, earth, licorice, vanilla, wood, pencil lead, green vegetables, bitter herbs and black pepper.

Medium plus on the finish with nice round tannins and tart pomegranates.

A nice pinotage from South Africa. A little unbalanced, but nicely complex, and better with food, like lamb, pork or chicken dishes. A better-than-average red wine.

Might have been a year too long in the bottle. I should have probably opened it last year. Still enjoyed, though.
Needs an hour to open up properly.

I paired it with a plate of hard cheeses, dried fruits and dark chocolate.

14% alcohol by volume.

Juicy, tannic and spicy like Mexican food. Oak well integrated, full bodied but not obese :). Let it breath to feel its berries power instead of nail polish remover. Plum, blueberry jam and tobacco.

Easy drinking red. I love pilotage sand this one is so smooth and reasonably priced. Good with a meal but beat for just enjoying a glass with company/friends.
