Tonconogy Cabernet-Syrah Blend
Dark ruby in color with a light purple rim.
Gorgeous nose of wildflowers, red currants, cherries, blueberries, blackberries, bell pepper, oak, olives, vanilla, smoke, leather, licorice, light alcohol and black pepper.
Full bodied with medium acidity and great legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, plums, cherries, red currants, oak, licorice, vanilla, tobacco, a touch of a red candy, spices and peppercorn.
Medium plus on the finish with nice, full tannins and black pepper.
A Very interesting blend of 60% Cabernet and 40% Syrah, with an interesting twist on the palate. Very enjoyable by itself or with food. Needs two hours to open up.
The vineyard is located in the Uco Valley at 3900 feet elevation.
Aged for 12 months in French and American, small, oak barrels.
13.9% alcohol by volume.
