Ruby, more opaque than I thought it'd be. A little hot.

More tannic than I expected too, a little bitter too. But not too bad. Astringent.

Acidity is still there in force. It's oddly not as fruity & jammy as Merlot is known to be.

Overall, power is there, but out of proportion.
