Fiddletown Cellars
Jack Rabbit Flat Zinfandel
Ruby in color with Medium intensity and a thin red rim.
Light on the nose with blackberries, minerals and white pepper.
Light to medium bodied with great long legs.
Fruity on the attack and tart on the mid palate with plums, earth, cherries, strawberry, white pepper and spices.
Medium finish with round tannins.
Unbalanced, with way too much acidity to balance the tart fruits.
It actually deteriorated as it opened up, so I dropped it to 3 stars.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

I really enjoyed this wine. Peppery, not sticky sweet, ... interesting in both smell and taste.
