Nice fruity nose with black currants, blackberries, cherries, vanilla, wood, spices, medicine, cigar box, light earth, leather, smoke and chocolates.
Full bodied and elegant with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, sour cherries, strawberries, raspberries light oak, spices, licorice, earth, black tea, peppercorn, leather, tobacco leaf and wet rocks.
Medium plus in finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a nice Red Blend from France. Not fully balanced, but very complex. Will be better in a year or two. The high alcohol is not noticeable, which I liked.
Needs 90 minutes to open up properly. A Good food wine.
