Serie A Salta Torrontés

Been eyeing this Torrontes for months. Tonight twisted the cap and had with mildly spicy, seafood and eggplant based Thai food. Approaches Semillon? Viognier? Lemon rind, Muscat quality stone fruit, aged in oak barrels(?), thyme. Pretty delicious, especially for the price. Happy Friday night sipping.

Classic.

lovely soft blonde yellow in colow with floral aromas reminicent of a fine Gewurztraminer. Dry but vibrant flavors of pink grapefruit and apricot. A burst of Acidity leads to a steely clean finish. Alcohol 14% Retails about $17 (Sample)

Very nice torrontes. Excellent acidity, fruit, and mouthfeel.

Solid base of a wine. Almost salty to start? Great canvas of a wine that kind of stays a great canvas. Alcohol comes through a bit, but acidity is nice. Could use more fruit? All the same, I could drink a glass every day after coming in from the heat.

2012. Elegant and less emphasis on terpenes.

Mellon, peach pear nose. Acid and light - acid overwhelms flavor on tongue. "Eater" not a "quaffer".

Not bad but not awesome for me.

Citrus, refreshing with strong floral notes.

Really nice, interesting white wine with just the right hint of sweetness
