Wow I thought it was a pomerol... 😱 All the markers are here: pencil shavings, black currant, blackberry, a tiny touch of leather and tar too. The only thing that's a bit different is a tiny green note too (green pepper bell) that's uncommon in pomerol and around there. The palate is still reminiscent of the pomerol style except that it's a bit thiner, and less opulent than a pomerol. The acid backbone is great, there is some blackcurrant, some oaky notes too. Gentle grainy tannins kick in the rear in a very subtle way before a long black currant, leathery finish with a tiny meat juice, salty touch in the end. I could have mistaken it for a sattelite pomerol in a heartbeat... Second solid Moldovan wine in a week 🤔
