I bought a case because I liked the 2017. After taking a bottle 3 places it was unanimous — not worth drinking. I’m pouring out the other 9 bottles tonight.

so shiny, smells like tree sap? oak? do i know what oak smells like? body is so big, no legs, very dry, much easier to me than a lot of white wines, flowery too on the taste and smell. not really for me but whites generally aren’t

This is a really interesting wine. It looks, smells, and tastes like a spatlese trocken. Nice balance. Maybe a little short on the finish. But I also think this was $19 at the PA state store. Not sure where you’re going to find too many other Rieslings with this much character at that price tag.
