Trying again. Color is hint rusty. Smells like a dusty berry. Hint of brandy and cherry jelly. Flavors are Zin style big time. But also hint hot. Plenty of fruitiness. But also more of the brandy and higher ABV on the tongue. 16.4%! Ripe and ready. Almost 40 proof… It decent for such a high alcohol experience. But it’s kinda distracting.

Apr 17th, 2026Relatively aged Zin. Nice color. Classic ruby red. Aromas of smoke, berry jam, and hot rocks. Flavors are jammy and classic for Zin. A hint of brandy though. This is insane ABV (16.14%)! I didn’t even know you could make wine that high without fortification. It’s still fairly balanced. Has a nice grippy finish. Warm. Toasty. A damn good Zin. On point.
