From the fruit hailing from Lodi Ca, this wine has dark juicy mid-ripe plums, smooth silky tannins, vanilla overtones, freshly ground pepper and a meatyness that is reminiscent of a medium-rare grilled ribeye.

Deep color of purple, looking thick, with some ruby tone. Nose of peach, raspberry, some medicinal spice, hotness from alcohol, anise, and cinnamon. Taste is similar with cinnamon note standing out, some berries note, warm, quite smooth, peppery, some leafy tobacco note, just a touch of vanilla sweetness. Aftertaste is proper with some nice white pepper note, residual sweetness, low in tannins, and some more berry note. I ponder why her score is not higher, as she is a beauty to enjoy.

Better than expected. Nice and peppery . Paired well with home ground tri tip burgers.

We really liked this wine 6 and 7 yrs ago, while vacationing in FL. Tasting for the first time since then... we had definitely moved on. Concentrated boysenberry and black currant, almost, but not really bitter. Sweet and sticky, unpleasant aftertaste.

Oh Sally! I get a nice maple bacon nose that seems odd for a wine but trust me it works. Bright purple colour with a tart dark berry palate. Tinge of tobacco and pepper. Nummy nummy
