WSJ premium club wine. Deep ruby red color and stellar body. Incredibly smoky and rich nose with a muted first palate then a sharp tannin-as-brakes stop to the mouthfeel. I found this was great with sharp cheddar, fatty pork belly, and just on its own as a bicep of a drink. I like it deep and strong and this fit he bill. This is like a 88' Chevy van lifted 4" with camp paint and an interior of high-fidelity audio, leather couches, and jaeger in the glove compartment.

Muted nose even after decanting. Big, bold, oaky, & dry. A little harsh (and I paired it with beef) even if you like that style. Disappointed as I had higher hopes for it.
