Dec 19th, 2016Good red. I like this vineyard. Well balanced wine with a good finish.

Jul 31st, 2016Dark rum soaked raisins, very port like, tangy, mulberries, dark cherries, smooth on approach, grippy tannins on exit. Looong finish. Needs a few more years to soften. But what a splendid wine nonetheless.

May 12th, 2016Absolutely beautiful deep color. Nicely oaked and a smooth finish. Part of the WSJ wine club. They must have snuck a bottle in the regular subscription :-)

Feb 18th, 2016WSJ premium club wine. Deep ruby red color and stellar body. Incredibly smoky and rich nose with a muted first palate then a sharp tannin-as-brakes stop to the mouthfeel. I found this was great with sharp cheddar, fatty pork belly, and just on its own as a bicep of a drink. I like it deep and strong and this fit he bill. This is like a 88' Chevy van lifted 4" with camp paint and an interior of high-fidelity audio, leather couches, and jaeger in the glove compartment.

Jan 13th, 2016WSJ Wine. Strong tannins. Mellowed as it breathed. This is a wine that will improve from being decanted.
