Swing and miss supermarket vino. Thought a German Pinot Noir was an intriguing idea, but this is way off. Reddish color, initially leads with balsamic vinegar and menthol (a rather nasty combo), though it softened a bit to get more in the vanilla/cherry range as the menthol flavor dissipated. Something sour remains, and well, this ain’t good.
