Domaines Schlumberger
Les Princes Abbés Alsace Pinot Blanc

Someone else called pear skin on the finish and I can't disagree. The nose is definitely muted, as one can expect from this producer and this grape, but the palate does show glimpses of yellow apple fruit, albeit barely. It is a beautiful pale gold color with greenish tints and has that going for it though.

Quite dry and crisp, with orchard fruit flavors of pear and white peach. More body than I expected from a Pinot Blanc (medium vs light). It seemed like the mineral on the finish was a little problematic with fish, and that threw me off. Otherwise quite good for <$20.
