Domaine Virgile Joly
Lirac Red Rhone Blend
A great lighter red, and a versatile food wine, this GSM has a generous splash of acidity and flavors of oak and dried currant. The lingering finish continues the dried fruit theme, with raisin and citrus to it.

Jun 7th, 2017Blueberry and nectarine Pitts on the nose with underlying earth notes. Upon first sip.... packs a surprising punch. Full bodied without being overbearing or harsh, coats the tongue, smooth and long lasting on the finish. Nicely balanced with acidity and underlying French oak. Just shy of a tawny but still a wine. Defiantly worth checking out! Neal Schaefer you need to try this one! I think you would be pleasantly surprised!

Aug 25th, 2017Blueberry and mushrooms on the nose. Smooth tannins on the palate with a little hints of ginseng. First impression: tastes more like Loire than Rhône. Give it an hour and I'm getting more savoury notes.
