Holy Mourvèdre. Marcel Richaud does it again. Huge nose of dark blackberry fruits. Menthol. Such depth. Brooding. The palate is big, dense and flavorful but with wonderful acidity that gives this big wine tremendous freshness. My rating may be conservative as this opens up.

Maybe pencil lead? Or something intensely blackly mineral. Palate is generous as 11 can be with big tannins, intense deep fruit, and a slab of minerality. Nice freshness. Terrific balance and juiciness for such a big wine. Years to go but awesome now.

Close to perfection. Particularly for those who recognize the subtleties of great Bourgogne but really long for the powerful and yet earnest fruitier tastes of Cotes du Rhone. There are no chemical in Marcel RICHAUD biodynamic wines. Your body can tell.
