Cherry cola, black pepper, and dried Provencal herbs make for an expressive nose. Small but coating tannins, with crushed blackberry, jammy kirsch, licorice and soil. Beautiful bottle.

Jun 16th, 2018Smells like I just walked into incensed church yet at the same time, while I'm not a cigar smoker, smelling this gives me the strange feeling that I should light one up. Its heavy smoky fresh tobacco nose gives way to cloudy delicious self-loathing brooding berry that brings you back to Catholic mass. Bad on me? Good on the wine.

Jun 3rd, 2015A little young (2010 vintage). Pretty dry. Notes of stone fruit, black currant, green pepper. Not much on the nose after decanting for 90 minutes--a little bit of hay and grass. Would have been better to wait a few more years before drinking.
