Domaine L'Enclos
Côtes de Gascogne Rosé Blend
Bin end rosé day, the final bottles on another of our longer term aging experiments on value wines.
Nose has Creamsicle orange sherbet, dried peach, dried raspberry, dried papaya, orange slices, white flowers and crushed granite in moist soil.
Palate has tangerine gummy bears, honey, fresh Clementine, fresh apricot, white flowers with perfect acidity, long finish, mild sweetness. A great bottle with life in the bottle still remaining!

Getting close to the end of our value rosé aging experiment. This was an old favorite of ours, used to buy at least two cases on every release. It was very fruit forward, and at $8 it was easy on the wallet, perfect summer sipper. Alas our palates have changed over the years, and we stopped buying this in 2015. Fortunately we have plenty of other bottles to distract us.

The color is very orange-orange-salmon, quite cool looking.
Nose is mineral with fresh Clementine.
Palate is so fresh and singing (thanks to Stelvin closures), I'd venture this bottle still has 1-2 years left without concern. Clementine, white flowers, medium finish. I'm all smiles at how well this bottle is drinking today.

The color is showing some age, a fun orange-salmon color at this stage.
Nose is a steely-mineral with fresh peach skin.
Palate is low in acidity but still fresh (thanks to Stelvin closures), we're certainly at the end of the life of this one. Orange peel with under-ripe peach is prominent.

The color is showing some age, a very nice copper color at this stage.
Nose is a bit steely-mineral with mashed cranberry-raspberry, more towards the cranberry side.
Palate is lighter in acidity than I recall other bottles, we're certainly at the end of the life of this one. Orange peel with light strawberry is prominent.
