Roasted red plums, roasted cherry, elegant showing, lean and focused without any heady excess or fat. Garrigue, smoke, crumbled rocks and white pepper. Sweetly herbaceous and a kiss of meat. Seemed just a touch closed on the nose at the moment. Rustic and soulful in my favorite ways. Day 2: stony, meaty and saddle notes popping, crazy how the texture is open, tannins displaying their full potential, herby, lots of smoke and garrigue too. Found the VA and brett more noticeable, adding a savory lift, umami, intrigue.
