Domaine La Bonneliere
Saumur Tradition Cabernet Franc Rosé
Just concluded the annual Fall seclusion at our cabin in the Rangeley lakes region of Maine, mobile service up there is mostly non-existent, after several days I am posting again. Notes are somewhat brief, as my focus is relaxing and watching the Common Loons swimming and diving in the cove in front of our camp.
Nose has washed raspberries, sliced Clementine orange, peach skin and moist chalk.
Palate has dried orange, partially-dried cherry, peach skin and (minor) dried raspberry. Light acidity remains, our final bottle, this was a good run.

Nose has dried raspberry, orange zest, sliced Clementine orange and moist limestone/chalk.
Palate has dried orange slice, dried raspberry, partially-dried cherry with medium acidity and finish. This bottle appears to be in decline.
Getting close to being out of stock on this vintage, but it's been a good run for only $14!

On the Lawn at Tanglewood this afternoon with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Our conductor Andris Nelsons is leading BRAHMS (Piano Concerto No. 1) with Rudolf Buchbinder on piano and then the wonderful SHOSTAKOVICH (Symphony No. 5).
A fully Loire afternoon 😀!
Dusty raspberry juice, light acid, light wet mineral, clean but medium-short finish. Great bottle for our sunny afternoon today!
Bonneliere chooses to use the Nomacorc with their bottles, a plant-based (sugarcane) wine closure, cool stuff, way nicer than traditional synthetic corks.

Nothing better than a Cabernet Franc rosé! The dusty notes follow through even in this style, acid is comfortable and easy going. This bottle is like a sweater on a chilly summer solstice evening, always welcome!
On the Lawn at Tanglewood tonight for our first (non-classical) show of the season. Tonight is NPR's live taping of Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me! Expect to hear me clapping somewhere in the background. The WWDTM team should have the show on the air by either this weekend or the following.

Awesome show, first half they are just crucifying the Cheeto-In-Chief!
