Les Vergelesses Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Chardonnay

Very solid Savigny blanc. Quite rich and powerful. Very pleasurable and easy drinking.

Great smoky nose, finish on the palate a touch short.

Rich in the mouth, quite opulent, showing lots of honey, nectarines and a bit of baking spice, finishes with hints of Granny Smith apples. Not overly complex, interesting but not memorable. A wine that satisfies but does not thrill.
