This wasn't complex or profound or even particularly interesting but it was cool, crisp and exceptionally easy to drink. And that is what I wanted after a rough day in NTX.

Serviceable white on the cheap. Colombard/Chardonnay blend with a bit of white peach, pear and freshness.

2015v. 80/20% colombard and chard. Straw gold color. Pleasant, round fruit and minerality on the nose. Lemon, citrus rind, and a nice medium weight on the mouth. A refreshing wave of acid clears the palette. Just a hint of smokiness is apparent on the finish. Overall, a great QPR (sub $9!). Nice for cheese, aperitif, and lighter fare (seafood, simple chicken) and would be even better in warmer weather! 12% ABV.
