Very tertiary driven wine. Not the most expressive but it seems past its peak a little. Still enjoyable. Cigar ash, stewed plums, raspy herbs, peppercorns, leather, umami. Tannins still have a little clunk to them despite how they've softened.

Subtle and mellow, great with wild game (venison tonight) not overwhelming. Perfect on a warm summer evening with a great strong cheese. This has aged SO well
