Lovely expression of Sauvignon Gris, the unsung cousin of SB with far more interest. Yellow plum, kumquat, sweet basil, cantaloupe, chalk, bitter orange peel, on a medium plus frame with notable viscosity. Great acid tingle and a perfect match with bold flavors

Let's say the grape doesn't fall far from the vine, for being the supposed pink hued parent to Sauvignon Blanc, it drinks similarly, Maybe a bit more viscous in the mouthfeel and more floral on the nose. But this is the only example I've had of this variety. Fun wine with application for food pairings.

First encounter with this unusual grape from Muscadet region. Kermit Lynch import. Thought Alsatian due to bottle shape. Nice medium yellow color and floral stone fruits and chalky nose fading to asparagus (according to Leila). Lucious profile carrying through to palate with firm texture to long acidic finish. Great with the salmon and leeks. Too bad only bottle AA 13.

Intense unripe peach and green apple with a long finish. Overall excellent. Moderate complexity. Nice turn from the usual Sauv Blanc.
