Have always wondered when these wines would be open and giving. Never thought Haut Cotes would take this long but right now this is stunning. Right at the apex of it's life.
Plush tannins, developed fruit nicely into secondary notes, lovely earthiness showing in the finish.
Had with a vegetarian version of Marry Me Chicken and was a pure delight

The aromatics lends itself to dark fruit with a bit of mushroom and funk. The palate more red fruit like cranberries, strawberries and candied raspberry. Acid is perfect to balance the fruit. Not real complex or has a long finish. Can’t complain given it was a gift. I’ll have more please.

The way it propagates and resonates in the mouth is unlike most wines. Poggio di Sotto is another one that has similar dynamics. Incomparably exquisite. A very special domaine.
