Ventoux White Rhone Blend

sadly the last wine she and I will share together. all things change. like vintages. seasons come and go and they are all beautiful. what a blessing our lives are.

One of our faves from our visit with winemaker Sebastian Vicenti this summer! Fondreche has a very unique terroir in the Ventoux and are producing some amazing wines at great prices. Drinking beautifully tonight with our spice roasted chicken.

Bargain Alert! I had to look up this southern Rhone region and the varietals which is made up of grenache blanc, Rousanne, clairette, and some grape called rolle. It's a heaven of ripe pit fruit, citrus and something that sells like herb crusted roasted chicken and on the nose and oh so drinkable. Lush fruits with just enough acidity to keep it fresh and not cloying.
I wish I opened this bottle at the beginning of summer- certainly worth buying the case at $12 a bottle!!

Aggressively gooseberry, not my style. Touch of creaminess saves from being a spitter.
