Mar 19th, 2017Big perfumey golden raisin aroma with lavender and bramble, which lingers long after a sip. Light clear brick red. Medium plus acid, the lightest touch of tannins on the tongue (just perfect), slightly juicy in the mouth, and a wonderfully intense, pervasive taste of bright red fruits, cherry tomato, and lavender. The aroma and flavors are intense, rich and layered, the mouthfeel is good (a bit bitey on the acid though), and the flavors linger entrancingly. It's clear why Cinsault grapes are described as perfumey, and the experience is a real treat. Glad I found this varietal at Costco of all places! $15
Acid seems to be flabby and low after a day :/ Need another bottle to investigate...
