Jul 11th, 2015There isn't a ton of variation between vintages, but whenever I buy this one, I feel like I've discovered it for the first time. Such great value... Astringent, but after contemplation, it truly is a balanced experience... Such a great patio sipper for a social distancing evening with friends...

May 18th, 2020I've really liked this wine over the years. Easily my favorite Chaberton. This evening's tasting had me thinking that this vintage may be a bit sweeter than in the past, but that might just be because I'm tasting in a freezing cold October house rather than on a hot summer patio. The tasting notes on the bottle point to a cinnamon kick on the finish. I'd say closer to pumpkin spice latte than Jamaican jerk on the cinnamon level though. Always a good buy and always somewhat bargain priced in my opinion.

Oct 16th, 2017Aromatic and bright. Off dry but drinkable alone. Fruity and on the sweet side. Slight acidic finish.

Jan 14th, 2017The jerks at the winery wouldn't let us do a tasting, but we bought six bottles and grabbed one of their picnic tables and tried some varieties. This Bacchus was quite nice. Fresh and astringent. Youthful and fun!

May 8th, 2016Excellent depth. Went beautifully with a delicate smoked salmon and then a fabulous veal osso bucco

Mar 22nd, 2016Super aromatic on the nose. Tropical. Not as sharp as I expected but even with a lesser hone, this one is pleasant enough. A good stand-up cocktail party number.
