This particular wine comes from the Ajaccio appellation on the western coast of the beautiful and mountainous island of Corsica, France. 🇫🇷
It’s made from the native Vermentinu grape also known as Rolle in Southern France (mainland) and Vermentino in nearby Italy, where it’s widely grown. 💕
This wine is vibrant and crisp with lemon verbena, grapefruit peel, white peach, yellow apple, white blossom, and stony mineral notes. It’s dry and refreshing. On the palate it has a spicy, zing that awakens the taste buds. It’s light-bodied, dry, with high acidity. Even with a little bottle age, I’m impressed by the freshness of fruit character. It is fully present and focused.👌👌👌
This is our first experience tasting a wine from Corsica and we’re loving it paired with a meal of grilled salmon, roasted asparagus, and spiralized zucchini.

Bought this at the winery on vacation so maybe I'm a little biased but it's got everything I love in a white wine. Aroma (floral and melon fruit), minerality and lively acidity that is perfect for an apertivo wine whilst having structure and texture to enjoy with a meal. Abbatucci tha GOD.
