From the not so great 2004 vintage but what a gorgeous nose and perfume. Cedar, camphor, cherries, cassis, tobacco and smoky earthy notes. Barb said very dark red Roses. After about 6 hours in the decanter notes of Olive Tapenade and Coffee grounds. The palate is medium weight with silky fine grained tannins of great length and persistence. A constant throughout was an effusive nose with an alluring perfume. Aristocratic.
