Domaine Brusset
Les Travers Côtes du Rhône Villages Cairanne White Rhône Blend
Bright but deep gold. Honey is the first thing that hits from the big bosomy nose, followed by a hint of white flowers. Medium full palate echoes the nose with white pepper and citrus pith taking the lead over layers of minor flavors. Medium acidity and a lengthy, brooding finish (with that honey returning right at the end). Wow. What a gorgeous white Rhône. Near CdP level complexity at an upper CdR price. An excellent wine for roasted pork or poultry, root vegetable casseroles, pot pie, or any other rich “white wine” dish. You could even have this with grilled fare. Drink now through 2025.

Apr 2nd, 2021Delicate white floral honeysuckle, wildflower honey, caramelized sugars. Soft and elegant. Well balanced, no sharp edges. An outstanding wine! I'm disappointed that we only have one bottle on hand.
