2011 Pretty nice balance of acid and tannins. Great with food or by itself. I thought it was a good buy at $12 but it's a spectacular buy for $5.99 at Fresh and Easy!

Let's start with a question: if you're browsing a wine list and see an Alexander Valley Cab for $6 by the glass you probably wouldn't bat an eyelash before ordering, correct? Well that's what I paid for this entire bottle. The nose shines the most with true Alexander Valley traits: dark, wet earth with currant, black and red fruit and a hint of black pepper and dried herbs. A little thin on the palette, but still enjoyable. What it lacks in complexity it makes up for in smoothness and sheer drinkability. Buy this one for the nose, but keep it for the drinking.

Smooth but with a strong spice to it. Can't peg it but don't like. Dumped my glass
