Managing expectations are so important with drinking wine. For lots of reasons I was not expecting a lot from this wine. However from the first sniff I was pleasantly proven wrong (something I rather enjoy). Strong rich fruit with a slight oak background. The taste is quite complex with fruit and leather and spice (reminds me a lots like a good southern Rhone). It feels very silky in the mouth and overall very balanced.
