Budget Bordeaux that's not pretending it's more than it is. Roasted meat and smoke almost like Monsanto Chianti. Red pepper, slightly vegetal in general, taut, high-strung but balanced. Tannin and acidity in great harmony. Lacks the power of more renowned producers but good for a weeknight.
