Wow! This is great wine overall. It is mild and at first sip there is a small bite but it does not send your taste buds into overdrive. It is settle with a VERY light hint of smokiness. Pairs well with meat, cheese (especially goat cheese), and even chocolate!!! The only downside is that I think it should sit and age for a little longer to mellow out the little dryness it has.

Not my favorite - a bit too much smokiness for me

Opened on 2/17/2014, it is a really good cote du rhone. It had some soft acidity balance well with the fruit.
