Ok, so Coturri does the "natural" wine thing, ie. there is no sulfur added, etc., and their wines can do some interesting things in the bottle with age, which is sometimes not a good thing. The nose is strong with VA, but there is still a bright spicy zin fruit character and this kind of grew on me. I detect a bit of RS that helps balance it in way. It's kind of like sipping on a zin shrub of some sort (the cocktail type of shrub, not a plant). Not sure I'd try this again, but a fun experiment.

Natural yeasts, no additives, no chemical farming, in 1987. Superb showing today, clean, fresh, layered, complex, very very little VA. Tony Coturri deserves way more credit.
